"LIKE" Me

To kick off 2011, we are going to do a Giveaway.

I know, I know, they may not be as cool as others, but I was thinking getting my "craft" in someone's actual hands and being able to see how well things are made and the detail that goes in to these items that  I list here or on my Etsy Shop, You will LOVE them!

So here is the deal, LIKE my page on Facebook and once we reach 100 fans, I will have a contest and pick the winner at random. The winner will get something that I have created!
If you want to see the prize, you got to play the game!

Mirror Chalkboard

I purchased a French Provencial dresser for our living room and I was the "bit seperating" deal on CL.

So I got stuck with a tri-fold mirror.

I knew what I was going to do with the center piece, I was going to make a chalkboard.

I have been dying for one this large, but refuse to spend the money on one that was already completed.

So here we go:

Tape it off.

Two coat of spray paint chalk.

Pulled the tape and then taped the board to paint the frame white.

Tadaaaaaa!

It's new home!

Table Make-Over

My sweet mother-in-law, found this steal of a cute table at a garage sale for $5.

Gave it to me and wanted to see what I could do with it...

After:

I love how it came out.

So much so that I spent a week moving it around my house trying to find it a home.

So I think it might have to go on CL, and I can find it a new home.

I think I'm in Love...

I drove out to an old shop, that a sweet man was having to close. He was really wanting to get rid of things instead of storing them. I was originally interested in a beautiful dresser for our master bedroom, which in fact did make it to my house.

But I was glancing around checking out other things that he was packing and he allowed me to take it off his hands. I grabbed up an urn, which matches others that we have in our home.

But admired this beauty...

I was not too happy with the brassy look, though. So I pulled out the trusty old spray paint can and got to work.

Here she is after one coat.

I am loving the potential, but something that I have learned from spray painting is to take your time. Do NOT rush. I was prepared to wait the entire day to make sure this lamp came out like I wanted it to.

It only took two coats....

I love it.

I took this lamp off of an old one in a closet, I think I like it.
